Michael Riedel - Aftershows [Palais de Tokyo 2013–2015] - Galerie Senn
On behalf of Michael Riedel i installed a new variant of his interactive voice recognition artwork at Gabriele Senn Galerie in Vienna.
Same concept, new setup: An omnidirectional microphone hanging from the ceiling receives the sounds in the exhibition area. Noises and french speech are being recognized and often misinterpreted. The words are projected onto a paper outside of a transparent showcase in which all technical parts of the installation reside. The perception of the words and noises is intentionally not perfect and leads to weird interpretations.
