Michael Riedel - OSKAR Presentation App
For the presentation of Michael Riedels recently released catalog OSKAR Dienststelle developed a software that shows the pages of the book on a spinning virtual 3D surface.
The concept of the lectures is to present the individual pages of the book as an interactive sculpture. Michael Riedel asks the audience to suggest a random page number in between 1 and 492. After the page number is announced the software immediately shows the page on the projecion on a slowly and smoothly rotating 3D surface. Then Michael Riedel talks about what the secific page is about.
The book is a history about the beginnings and the development of the “Oskar-von-Miller-Straße” and Freitagsküche, two art spaces in Frankfurt/Main which also host cooking events on a regular basis.
